Zoë Hudson

I an currently in my 12th year of education at New College Durham, with my qualifications from this year I hope to eventually attend Oxford university to study fine art. Helping me in this, I attended the Universify programme last year, and spent one week in the dorms of oxford, taking taster classes and finding out what I want to do in my further education. My best subjects are Art and English and I have a passion for writing and creating what I can in my spare time.

I pride myself in being adaptable to any situation and having good communication skills with customers and co-workers due to my experience volunteering in the British Heart Foundation for the past 9 months.

To get some experience in the world of work, I have been volunteering at my local charity shop, the British Heart Foundation in retail and customer service. With this experience, I have been able to adapt to many different situations in which I must serve a customer and prioritise their needs above all.

Last year I sat my GCSEs at a higher level, gaining an 8 in English Language, a 9 in English Literature and a 6 in Mathematics. With these results I was admitted to both New College Durham, and Durham Sixth Form, and also received an offer from Newcastle Sixth Form. I decided to study at New College Durham as it was most well suited to what I wish to do. I currently study English Literature, Classical Civilization and Fine Art at an A-Level standard.
