Full Time

• Diagnosing and repairing vehicles that use diesel engines
• Check all malfunctioned machinery and equipment and conduct root cause analysis to diagnose whether to repair or replace.
• Performing installations, maintenance, and repair activities, in accordance with OEM specifications
• Checking that daily and rotational targets are achieved, including first stop after PM (FSAPM), Mean time between failure (MTBF) and mean time to repairs (MTTR).
• Inspecting and testing diesel engines to diagnose and identify problems.
• Repairing and replacing worm or defective parts.
• Rebuilding and reconditioning engines and assemblies.
• Performing preventative maintenance ad oil changes
• Monitor and adjusting engines performance using specialized diagnostic equipment
• Maintain records of services, parts, and repairs on each vehicle.
• Maintenance and servicing heavy mining equipment by carried out routine visual inspection on engines, valve banks, hydraulic pump, final drives, monitor and hydraulic cylinders etc. and make written reports.
• Carrying out routine service or preventive maintenance such as changing filters, oils and refills oils, checking belts, lights, fluids and coolant level and greasing etc. complete service report.
• Identify and resolving issues associated with break down/corrective maintenance in a timely manner.
• Performing preventive maintenance inspections and campaign maintenance / rectification.
• Maintain a tidy workplace as well as tools and equipment.

Automobile mechanic - apprenticeship at Limes engineering workshop (2013-11 – Present)

Under the supervision of the chief mechanic.

• Perform repairs of automobile based on their conditions
• Carried out inspections of complete repairs to ensure properly work done and safe working.
• Identified vehicles faults, explained problem to owner and estimated cost of repairs.
• Responsible for keeping the garage calendar and called customers who missed their appointment
