DevOps Engineer

MSTAT, with over two decades of experience in the mobile ecosystem, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented DevOps Engineer to support the reliability, security and scalability of its infrastructure and deployment environments.

Role Overview The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the company’s infrastructure, ensuring optimal system performance, infrastructure security, operational continuity and deployment reliability. The role involves hands-on technical work across infrastructure deployment, system administration, networking and monitoring operations.

Main Responsibilities

• Deployment and configuration of new company IT resources (Linux servers, VMs, networking etc.)
• Implement and maintain backup and recovery solutions
• Monitor infrastructure, server performance, utilization and system resources proactively
• Manage infrastructure and networking components including firewalls, VPNs, cloud resources and connectivity to clients or partners
• Administer and maintain IT equipment including servers, storage systems, network devices and related hardware
• Monitor infrastructure alerts, deploy monitoring tools, logging systems
• Support infrastructure security monitoring, log analysis, incident response and platform reliability initiatives
• Support security assessments, penetration testing activities, and vulnerability remediation efforts
• Manage user credentials, access permissions and authentication systems for internal applications and services
• Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes (account creation, access provisioning, equipment setup)
• Collaborate with internal teams to support infrastructure-related requests and platform operations
• Manage and resolve infrastructure and operational requests through the internal ticketing system
• Assist with license management for online services, tracking renewals and ensuring compliance
• Contribute to version control practices, infrastructure documentation, automation scripts and configuration management
• Support development and deployment processes
• Support disaster recovery planning, infrastructure resilience, automation and business continuity initiatives

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in DevOps, Systems Engineering, or Infrastructure roles
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field (MSc will be considered a plus)
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure administration, monitoring, automation and deployment in linux environments
• Experience working with Apache, HAProxy, Kafka, Redis and MySQL (MariaDB).
• Familiarity with security best practices, vulnerability management, and incident response
