About The Role

We are looking for a coder to work on the front and back end of the Yodeck's App, a single-page web UI connected through REST API with our Backend. Built on Django and Celery, Yodeck's backend is fully integrated with a wide collection of third-party cloud services.

Responsibilities

Write, test, document and maintain code for existing and new functionality in our Django App

Evolving Yodeck's web UI, writing JS code and using frameworks like React, BackboneJS, RequireJS, and Bootstrap

Adding features to our componentized UI, using REST APIs

Integrate with external services

Investigate new technologies

Collaborate and organize with the team under the Scrum framework, converting user requirements into engineering tasks

Collaborate with other departments such as Support, other engineering teams, Devops team

Requirements

Work experience as a Python Developer

Work experience as a Javascript Developer

Experience with at least one popular Python framework (like Django, Flask or Pyramid)

Experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript and JavaScript Frameworks

Knowledge of object-relational mapping (ORM)

Knowledge of client-side single-page applications using modern frameworks like React

Debugging and optimization skills

Unit/integration testing experience to be considered as a plus

Team spirit

Good problem-solving skills

BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field or relevant experience of at least 3 years

Excellent command of English language

Experience working in a lean/agile development environment
