QA Python Team Lead

An experienced QA Automation professional with strong leadership capabilities is needed to step into an AQA Python Team Lead role. This position provides technical direction, guides automation initiatives, and helps the QA team deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership & Strategy: Lead a hybrid QA team (Manual and Automation) with a focus on shift-left testing principles.
• Framework Development: Drive the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable, robust test automation frameworks and required libraries.
• Quality Assurance & Standards: Review and contribute to test plans, test strategies, and code for automated test scripts while enforcing best practices in code quality, test coverage, and CI/CD integration.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Development, DevOps, QA Management, and Product teams throughout the SDLC to improve overall product testability and maintain alignment.
• Mentorship & Growth: Identify team training needs and actively foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Experience: 5 years of hands-on experience in QA, including at least 2 years in a leadership role managing a minimum of 5 direct reports.
• Python & Automation: Strong hands-on experience with Python-based test frameworks, API testing, and automation development.
• Infrastructure & Integration: Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins), Git, Docker, and messaging/cloud technologies like Kafka and AWS. Exposure to Kubernetes (preferably AWS EKS) is preferred.
• Testing Techniques & Tools: Practical experience using mocking frameworks (e.g., WireMock, MockServer) and performance testing tools (e.g., K6 for custom scripting, load tests, and performance metric analysis).
• Methodologies: Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, Agile practices, and modern SDLC processes.
• Soft Skills: Excellent organizational, mentoring, and communication skills, with fluent written and spoken English.
