Our team is looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Java Backend Developer in Athens to support our client on a European institution project.

Your role

Building the core Registry backend

Implementing secure IAM services

Developing interoperable APIs

Ensuring compliance with EU regulations

Implementing cryptographic and resolver mechanisms

Supporting cloud-native infrastructure deployment

Maintaining high security, scalability, and availability standards

Your profile

Bachelor in Engineer in Computer Science or equivalent

Minimum 7 years of experience in the field

Experience in Java (at least 5 years), REST, XML, Spring boot, API & Data Formats

Ability to work with Architects, Business Analysts, Security experts and Frontend teams

Clear written English (formal documentation level)

Analytical and solution-oriented mindset

Ability to translate regulatory and security requirements into robust backend implementations

High attention to detail and quality standards

Proactive risk identification and problem-solving capability

DevOps knowledge is highly appreciated
