Senior Java Developer

Timeoff.gr is a SaaS platform for employee leave and absence management, used daily by thousands of employees and businesses across Greece & Europe.

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer who wants real influence over the product, the technical decisions and the direction of the platform. We are a small team, so we need someone who does more than close tickets — someone who actively shapes what we build and how we build it.

What you will do

• Build and maintain backend services in Java
• Design and implement new features for the Timeoff platform
• Take part in architecture design and technical decision-making
• Work directly with the rest of the team to improve the product
• Write and maintain automated tests
• Improve CI/CD and the overall developer experience

What we are looking for

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• 5+ years of Java development
• Strong experience building REST APIs and backend services with Spring Boot
• Experience with Docker/Podman
• Experience with automated testing
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams
• Very good knowledge of SQL / PostgreSQL
• Good understanding of modern backend architectures
• Initiative and willingness to own technical decisions

Nice to have

• Redis
• RabbitMQ or other message brokers
• MinIO or similar object storage
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with distributed systems
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (Claude, ChatGPT)
• Experience with SaaS products
