Daphne Kontelli

Chemical Engineer with experience in the environmental field and specifically in the solid waste and liquid waste management sector.

I am currently working in the Leachate Treatment Facility for the Landfill of Attica, Greece, which is the larger landfill in the Balkan peninsula. My working environment helped me gain an analytical and problem-solving mindset. During the last 2 and a half years, I acquired experience with water, wastewater, absorption and stripping processes, as well as with Reverse Osmosis and High Pressure Reverse Osmosis. I also gained experience concerning the logistics of waste streams – legislation, transportation, handling and marking. My additional responsibilities which included the preparation of technical manuals, provided me with the ability to work under tight deadlines and the attention to detail.

The undergraduate curriculum in Chemical Engineering of National Technical University of Athens has introduced to me to various subjects of engineering and scientific matter, allowing me to discover my affection in environmental engineering and industrial chemistry.
