As a legal counsel -among others- of the Royal Bank of Scotland (2012-2015) and of Grivalia Hospitality Group [56 multinational companies] (2020-2024) I have had the chance to:
a) provide legal opinions/advice on the ability of corporate and shipping legal entities and their legal representatives to make transactions and conclude contracts with banks according to the law applying to their establishment, that spanning several jurisdictions worldwide from Greece and Cyprus to Netherlands, UK, Switzerland, Malta, Marshall Islands, Liberia, Panama, China, USA etc,
b) provide day-today- business legal support, e.g. drafting of legalization documents of corporate and shipping legal entities, provision of clarifications per request, conduct of meetings and conference calls, exchange of correspondence, communications with the competent Companies Registries worldwide when needed so as to gather the required legalization documentation etc.,
c) participate in AML/KYC projects opining regarding all the legal/corporate documentation provided and solving all the legal issues preventing the legal entities from making any kind of transactions with the banks,
d) maintenance / updating / archiving of legal files of the corporate and shipping legal entities both in hard copies and in electronic form.
