I offer Medical Radiation Physicist services in the field of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology

Since 2003, I have been working as a Medical Radiation Physicist in the field of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at the Medical Physics Department of the University Hospital of Patras, which is the largest tertiary public hospital (750-bed) in Western Greece.

All my medical physics services are provided in accordance with the European Council Directive 2013/59/Euratom, and definitely in accordance with the Articles 82-84.

Regarding my clinical experience, this is focused mainly on the following issues:

1. Development of purchasing and acceptance specifications for imaging equipment,
2. Performance of acceptance testing, calibration, and safety surveys of imaging equipment,
3. Implementation of required radiation monitoring and composing of radiation protection studies and hazard reports required for periodic licensure and certification,
4. Establishing and maintaining a quality control and quality assurance program,
5. Optimization of clinical imaging procedures,
6. Radiation protection and radiation safety of patients and personnel,
7. Research and development of new imaging techniques for improved diagnostic uses of x-ray radiation, and
8. Teaching and participation in continuing education programs for medical students, radiology residents, graduate students, physicians, nurses, technologists, ancillary personnel and other staff.
