Operate and maintain the data warehouse and data platform infrastructure (currently Azure Synapse, Databricks planned in the future).
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and ETL processes (Airflow, Azure Data Factory, dbt).
Maintain and optimize scheduled jobs, DAGs, and cron workflows.
Operate and monitor database systems (Azure Synapse) for performance and reliability.
Support CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).
Manage access control and permissions (RBAC, service principals, secrets, Key Vault).
Ensure proper logging, alerting, and observability across platform components.
Perform incident management and root cause analysis.
Coordinate change and deployment processes with development teams.
MS SQL or Azure Synapse Analytics (Databricks experience is an advantage).
Airflow (or similar orchestration tools such as Prefect, Dagster, or Azure Data Factory Pipelines).
Strong SQL knowledge (CTE, query tuning).
Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
Experience with Linux shell scripting and Python for automation.
Understanding of logging and alerting concepts.
Strong sense of operational responsibility and ownership mindset.
Effective communication with developers, business users, and IT security teams.
High attention to documentation and process discipline.
Analytical thinking and troubleshooting mindset.
Proactive attitude — ability to anticipate issues through monitoring data.
Proficiency in English for both written and verbal technical communication.
It gives you an advantage
Basic knowledge of Docker (Kubernetes experience is a plus).
Hands-on experience with Azure Portal.
Understanding of CI/CD pipeline management.
Understanding of transformation logic and layered/staging DWH architectures.
Experience with indexing, query plan analysis, and partitioning.
Experience with Databricks.
Familiarity with DataOps / MLOps processes.
Knowledge of ARM Templates or Terraform.
Experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) — models, runs, tests, docs, selectors.
Practical understanding of cloud cost optimization.
Experience integrating Power BI / Tableau / Looker with data platforms.
ITIL or experience with Incident & Change Management processes.
Awareness of audit trails, GDPR compliance, and data governance principles.
Knowledge of RBAC, IAM, Key Vault, and secrets management.
