Undergraduate Research Assistant at Dynamic Control and Stability Lab, Institut Teknologi Bandung (2024-08 – Present)
Research assistant developing UAV dynamic models and control systems with Software-in-the-Loop and Hardware-in-the-Loop testing capabilities.
- Developed a Simulink-based dynamic model of ITB's modified Raybe tiltrotor UAV and designed its control system, integrating the model with X-Plane 11 for Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) simulation as a precursor to Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.
- Developed a real-time UAV operations risk-analysis platform by integrating flight simulators with the SORA (Specific Operations Risk Assessment) methodology, enabling more accurate mission evaluation and safety verification.
Flight Dynamics Engineer, Internship at Iter Aero Industri (2024-07 – 2024-08)
Developed mathematical models and conducted stability analyses for VTOL UAV systems to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Developed a mathematical model for a 28 kg Vertical Take-Off and Landing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (VTOL UAV), evaluating and validating its flight characteristics to ensure compliance with CASR Part 22 requirements for Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS).
- Conducted stability and dynamic analyses of the UAV's longitudinal mode under trimmed flight conditions to assess performance and control behavior.
Aerodynamics Engineer, Internship at PT Len Industri (2023-08 – 2024-01)
Calculated aerodynamic coefficients and validated flight characteristics for MALE UAV models.
- Calculated complete aerodynamic coefficients for a 1:3 scaled model of a Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) UAV, including the effects of multiple control surface deflections.
- Validated the aerodynamic characteristics of both the full-scale and scaled models, providing support for their use as a testbed in the development of a new flight-control system.
