This study aims to describe the efforts to preserve Barongan art in the Barong Singo Joyo Association in Doplang Village, Jati District, Blora Regency. The research uses a qualitative approach to describe a phenomenon and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced and strategies used in preserving Barongan Art through observation and interviews.

Conducted qualitative research on the preservation efforts of Barongan art, involving observation of routine practices and interviews with art practitioners, community leaders, and members of the Paguyuban Barong Singo Joyo association.

• Performed participatory observation of routine training activities on Saturday nights
• Conducted in-depth interviews with paguyuban leaders, trainers, senior dancers, and village community figures
• Analyzed strategies for preservation including protection, development, and utilization aspects
• Documented performance activities and collected administrative records
• Identified challenges in maintaining team member consistency among students and workers
