Thamrin Simanjuntak

Has more than 20 years management experience in Indonesia working in both the private and development sector. Expertise on project management; administrative and program, project design and development including operating procedures development. Extensive experience working and building relations with local communities, government agencies and civil society organizations in development projects such as income generating, livelihood development, health & nutrition, primary education, peace building, and disaster risk reduction.

Has overseen the planning, implementation and evaluation of various community-based, micro-projects in collaboration with local CBOs, GOI and NGOs in Aceh, Nias, North Maluku, Flores, West Timor, West Java, Bengkulu, South Sulawesi, Central Kalimantan, Papua and West Papua with significant experience overseeing the implementation of project activities, reporting, monitoring and evaluation.

Experience on managing a staff of over 30 persons and possesses strong team management, entrepreneurial touch and inter-personal skills. Has worked on various donor projects including CIDA, USAID, ECHO, European Commission, UNDP, USDA and World Bank. Daily working in English and able to communicate in French, Indonesian, Batak and Javanese.
