About this course

This course is for people beginning on a shop floor or in visual merchandising support. You will check safety, signage and product condition, follow a simple recovery sequence and describe an observed issue clearly. In practice, the zone is easier to shop, the task list is visible and the next owner is known. This module introduces the first shift on a retail sales floor: learning the zone, checking safety, reading the task list, recovering merchandise, and asking for direction. The learner builds a floor-walk checklist that can be used before the first customer rush or in an interview. This module covers truck and delivery routines, stockroom organization, carton sorting, ticketing, replenishment, shortage or damage reporting, and coordination with the sales floor. The learner practices moving merchandise without losing location, condition, priority, or customer access. This module teaches floor presentation: fixture capacity, size and color order, signage, seasonal transitions, promotional product, markdown integrity, replenishment, and recovery during a rush. The learner practices turning a visual direction into a repeatable floor check and a clear escalation. This module develops customer interaction and service recovery for a merchandise associate: greetings, product location, fitting-room routines, returns or hold questions, difficult moments, loss-prevention awareness, accessibility, and team escalation. The learner practices helpful language without inventing policy or confronting a suspected issue. The final module integrates floor walking, receiving, presentation, customer service, safety, and handoff into a repeatable shift plan. The learner prepares interview examples, responds to feedback, uses simple performance signals, and explains how to improve a store routine without claiming authority they do not have.
