Contract Role – C#, SQL Developer (data driven) – Ireland

We are seeking a C#, SQL Developer to join the team has a very strong technical, data and analytical capability which supports the bid life-cycle through automation, analytics and data driven strategic recommendations. The tools and solutions developed are scalable, robust and production ready to meet ever growing bid activity.

As part of this role, you will be engaged into modernizing Repricing Assistant Application that integrates into the PULSE ecosystem enabling the Underwriting and Sales teams to support multiple-business partners and potential new opportunities. Leveraging our strong business relationships these new tools and insights are integrated into existing processes to empower our business and collectively achieve our specific economic targets and plans.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Write efficient code following best practices to deliver robust, sustainable, and scalable solutions: C#, SQL
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
  • Utilizing DevOps Tools like GitHub Actions, Databricks, Datafactory
  • Delivering the full migration/ modernization roadmap from current on-prem solution to cloud
  • Use AI tools to accelerate coding, refactoring, documentation, and test generation while maintaining coding standards
  • Provide technical support to team for existing applications and help business team in resolving technical issues

Required Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Expert-level proficiency in C# (object‑oriented programming), including strong understanding of architectural patterns, system design principles, and large‑scale solution development
  • Advanced SQL skills and deep experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server), including optimization, stored procedures, and performance tuning for high-volume applications
  • DevOps & Cloud: Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and Azure services
  • Hands‑on experience designing, building, and deploying distributed systems with strong emphasis on scalability, resilience, and fault-tolerant architectures
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and delivering results within deadlines
  • Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in engineering, Data Analytics, or related field with significant experience building enterprise-grade software solutions

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or R
  • Experience Documenting technical requirements, data definitions, and operational processes
  • Experience analyzing and improving workflows by evaluating process maps and flowcharts, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending enhancements to workflows, procedures, technology, and tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Sound knowledge and experience of testing methodologies
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, professional working style.
