Construction Site Agent

Location: Co. Cavan

Optimize Recruitment is working with a leading environmental services company to recruit a Construction Site Agent for a major project within the water / wastewater industry.

The project involves heavy civils, deep excavations, temporary works in the form of sheet piling/ cofferdam/dewatering and pipework installation.

The successful candidate will lead the construction team and subcontractors on site and will have the responsibility to put H&S of site personnel at the top of the agenda.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Lead site teams and subcontractor
• Champion Health & Safety on site
• Coordinate civil, mechanical, electrical and automation works
• Plan and deliver works alongside the Project Manager
• Manage programme, quality and environmental compliance
• Review RAMS, permits and safe systems of work
• Monitor progress, risks and project performance
• Chair site meetings and prepare progress reports
• Liaise with clients, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers
• Support successful project handover

Requirements of the role:

• Civil or Trade background showing progression to management level
• 10 years’ experience working in roles on multi-discipline site-based projects preferably water or Waste water
• Up to 10 years’ site management experience in water/wastewater industry
• Previous experience in Civil construction of Water Treatment plants will be an advantage
• Full clean driving licence
• Excellent oral and written reporting skills
• Good communication skills required
• Computer literacy in Google Sheets, Docs & email will be an advantage
• Preferably to have IOSH SHE for Construction Site Managers or similar
