About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Developer Analyst to join a high-performing development team responsible for delivering enterprise-scale applications and enhancements.

This role is ideal for a developer with strong backend and integration experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions in a structured development environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce effort estimates for development requirements where required.
• Develop new applications, features, and enhancements in accordance with established development standards.
• Create functional design specifications and/or user stories.
• Adhere to code quality, data quality, and unit testing standards.
• Identify, develop, and execute integration and automation tests where appropriate.
• Participate in peer reviews and code reviews.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members, ensuring effective knowledge transfer across the team.
• Provide system test support when code is migrated to testing environments, including issue resolution.
• Assist with test deployments and production releases.
• Develop a strong understanding of business processes and the overall domain area supported by the team.
• Escalate technical challenges, risks, and blockers to team leads in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to clarify requirements and support delivery objectives.
• Contribute to project tracking, status reporting, and risk management activities.
• Maintain accurate updates in development and project management tools, including Jira and time tracking systems.
• Work closely with testers to ensure expected functionality, timelines, and delivery expectations are understood.
• Perform root cause analysis of defects, incidents, and production issues.
• Investigate, propose, and implement fixes for live application issues.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Java development.
• Experience with Spring Framework.
• Experience building and consuming Web Services.
• Strong SQL and relational database experience.
• Experience with XML and structured data processing.
• Experience with MuleSoft/Mule integration technologies.
• Experience with Angular frontend development.
• Experience with COBOL applications.
• Experience with relational databases and data management platforms.
• Experience with ETL technologies and data integration.
• Experience with unit and integration testing.
• Knowledge of JUnit testing framework.

Development Methodologies

• Experience working within structured software delivery environments.
• Understanding of:
• Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Waterfall methodologies
• Agile methodologies
• Hybrid delivery models

Data & Integration Experience

• Experience working with relational databases such as SQL.
• Exposure to NoSQL technologies and big data frameworks.
• Familiarity with structured data formats including:

• Text-based data files
• RDBMS environments
