I'm Niall a third year Financial Maths and Economics student in the University of Galway.
I'm currently pursuing internships in financial and actuarial fields.
September 2020 – January 2023 – Cleaning Operative at Bidvest Noonan, University Hospital Galway: Ensuring assigned areas were cleaned and maintained to the correct standards and being cordial to the patients ensuring they are always comfortable.
Summer 2022 – Kitchen porter in Kai Restaurant: Working in a high pressure and intense environment, ensuring job was done quickly, accurately, and consistently, working alongside Sous chef in preparing vegetables for service.
Summer 2017-2020 - Coaching at Gráinne Mhaol Rowing Club: Coaching rowing to complete beginners, ensuring they are using correct technique and ensuring the safety of all members throughout.
Summer 2017- 2020 - Office work for Cahalan Developments Ltd: General record keeping, logging invoices, ensuring taxes are entered correctly, working alongside primary accountant.
Currently a third year in Financial Maths and Economics.
Averaging a first class honours in both first and second year.
Studies have been predominantly focused on maths modules, to get a good foundation to work from.
Now that I'm in third year, I'm going into more advanced financial classes.
A lot of work is being done in derivatives and actuarial classes.
I'm currently on exchange for the Spring semester 2023, at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
I'm taking some programming classes, to improve my ability.
