Olivia Stogner

I am currently earning my second MA, in Creative Writing, at Dublin City University. Before moving to Ireland and returning to school, I was working full-time for a technology company. I worked with AI training and testing for two years. Before that, I was an English professor. I am also a writer.

My most recent job was as a Language Specialist for a global technology company. I did such things as prompt engineering, creative writing, research, data labeling, fact-checking, and red teaming. As part of a full-time team, I also helped to guide and supervise part-time workers for various projects.

I have experience teaching and tutoring pre-school through adult learners. I taught college level English and literature courses for 18 years. I taught research-based writing, American Literature, British Literature, and a lovely poetry class.

I have experience teaching at a community college and a university, in person, hybrid, and online. I enjoy working with a diverse student population, and I have learned much from my students. I especially enjoy teaching online and working with adult learners.

I taught English in China for a summer. I have trained with professional actors and experts to learn more about Shakespeare’s Original Pronunciation and theatre practices. I have traveled in the UK to do my own research and visit locations associated with the Brontës, C.

S. Lewis, and George MacDonald. I have published two novels and multiple poems. I have written a full-length play. I am currently reading Irish writers, working on a play, and writing a novel for children.

I have strong writing skills in many genres. I love to challenge myself with new forms. I also have strong editing skills.I hope to continue writing, learning, teaching, and developing new skills!

As a full-time student, I am currently looking for part-time and freelance work, in AI or teaching. I would prefer remote work, but I am open to options. I am dedicated and creative and hope to find new opportunities.

I am in the midst of my second MA, in Creative Writing, at Dublin City University. I enjoy being a student and learning.
