Fieldwork: Intertidal and subtidal surveying in Cork at Cuskinny, Garretstown, Ringaskiddy, and Rossmore, benthic trawl and sediment grab sampling on the ‘RV Celtic Voyager’, and a five-day trip to FSC Millport for intertidal and trawl surveys.
Dissertation Project: “A survey of population characteristics, pathogen detection and diversity of the shore crab Carcinus maenas in Cork Harbour”. This involved site sampling, GLP, statistical analysis in R Studio and SPSS, and scientific report writing.

A laboratory-based study to reconstruct the diets of a Wexford colony involving extraction of hard part remains from seal scats, fish species identification, and data analysis in Microsoft Excel and SPSS.
