May 2016 – August 2017: Trainee Civil Engineer - Ward & Burke Construction (LIT Internship Programme)

• Engineer on the urban redevelopment of Blackrock Village& Marina in Cork City.

• Responsibility for conducting a daily safety briefing, which included an outline of the work designated to risk mitigation and methods to implement best practices. Entrusted with the preparation of method statements, toolbox talks and all other work-related permits.
• Cable Avoidance Tool daily use, taking levels and surveying on site using GPS, dummy level, laser level and pipe laser. The works included a new road, footpaths, installation of a pier /watermains/ P.L and spare ducting, electric ducting, gullies and drainage systems.
• During the completion phase of my work experience I relocated to the Cork main drainage project in Ringaskiddy and Carrigaline where I was involved in the sinking of shafts and installation of deep drainage systems.

May 2018 – August 2018: Site Engineer / Supervisor - JF Building & Civil.

• Civil Engineer with a sub-contractor.
• Civil Engineer / Supervisor of the groundworks of a retail build and a pharmaceutical build.
• Organising and planning of daily work schedules, setting out and using the GPS and total station, giving levels using a dumpy and laser level. Material checks and recording variations / dayworks.

August 2018 – December 2019: Site Agent / Project Manager - Paul Cosgrove Groundworks:

• Site Agent for Paul Cosgrove Groundworks.

• Manager / Engineer of the groundworks of two residential groundworks projects in Limerick and Cork.

• Organising and planning of daily work schedules, all engineering aspects of the groundworks up to finish floor level, document controlling, ordering materials, keeping H&S records, dealing with the client, appointing, and managing sub-contractors, setting out,using AutoCAD and a Leica icg70 GPS.

January 2020 – Present: Data Centre CSA Project Engineer (Barcelona) / Data Centre CSA Engineer (Amsterdam) - Winthrop Engineering & Contracting:

• Data Centre CSA Engineer in Frankfurt on a 40 MW Hyperscale Data Centre ( November ’21 – Present). Designated core responsibilities for the external / underground civil works, sheet piling and pumphouse along with my engineering responsibilities. I am the Appointed Person for Lifting Operations and Temporary Works Coordinator for the site also

• Data Centre CSA Project Engineer in Barcelona on an 8 MW Data Centre ( September ’20 – November ’21). Designated core responsibilities for the external / underground civil works, doors, and internal fit-out packages along with my engineering responsibilities. Managed contractors from cradle to grave across all CSA aspects of the project, from tender through construction. I was the Appointed Person for Lifting Operation and Temporary Works Coordinator for the site also.

• Data Centre CSA Engineer on a 22MW Hyperscale Datacentre (AMS 11/12) from January ’20 until September ’20 managing the underground services package, HACS & white walls along with CMOP coordination. Directly overseen sub-contractorsinstallation while monitoring progress and reporting internally to Senior management involved in the above-mentioned packages.
