Thomas Kavanagh

I am a 21-year old college student from UCD studying History. I strive for efficiency and organisation above all else. My arts studying has earned me experience in critical thinking, debating and ability to articulate my own viewpoints. I am also efficient in the realm of woodworking and other forms of manual labour.

I worked as a Kitchen Porter in the Great Northern Hotel, Bundoran, Co. Donegal, in the summer of 2022, where I washed and cleaned cutlery and kitchen equipment, organised them into their rightful place on shelves and swept the kitchen floors. It was a fast-paced environment that required efficiency and time management.

I also worked in Simpsons' Supermarket, Bundoran, Co. Donegal, in the summer of 2021, where I prepared food for the in-store deli, moved items to and from the freezer, organised them, and stacked shelves in the supermarket itself.

Through volunteering and other exploits, I have experience in cash handling, front-of-office check-ins, crowd control, event organisation, teamwork, and manual labour

I recently finished my third year of a four-year course studying History in UCD, with a GPA of 3.52. I have one more year to go and I am currently considering my dissertation topic for next year.
