Backend Developer

a global leader in advanced human-guided autonomous drone systems, is looking for a Backend Software Developer to join our R&D team and take part in building the core software that powers our real-time autonomous and mission-critical systems used by defense and security forces worldwide.As part of our core development team, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend software written in C , supporting real-time data processing, control flows, and system integration. You will work closely with cross-disciplinary teams and take ownership of backend services throughout their full lifecycle - from design and development to deployment in production environments.This is a unique opportunity to work on complex, real-world systems at the intersection of robotics, autonomy, and high-performance software engineering.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain high-performance backend software in C Implement robust, scalable, and efficient system components for real-time operationCollaborate with diverse teams across all disciplines to bring innovative ideas to lifeIntegrate and test various internal and external APIsParticipate in architecture design, technical decision-making, and system integrationOptimize performance, reliability, and resource usage for mission-critical environmentsConduct code reviews and ensure high code quality and adherence to best practicesDebug, profile, and maintain complex production systemsRequirements: At least 5 years of hands-on experience developing C Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including OOP, memory management, and multithreadingExperience developing and maintaining complex backend or system-level softwareExperience working in Linux environmentsExperience working with version control and development tools (Git, Jira, Bitbucket, etc.)Ability to work independently, take ownership, and learn quicklyThis position is open to all candidates.
