Backend Engineer - Mobile Platform

Were looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join mobility engineering group and build the systems behind one of the worlds largest location-analytics platforms.In this role, youll work on backend services that process and serve millions of clients, power ML-driven insights, and operate at high scale and high reliability. If youre motivated by hard technical challenges, modern infrastructure, and collaborating with strong engineers, this role is built for you.RESPONSIBILITIES:Own services end-to-end - from architecture and design to production, monitoring, and continuous improvementDrive performance, scalability, and reliability, using data and metrics to guide decisionsBuild infrastructure and data pipelines that support machine-learning, analytics, and real-time use casesPartner closely with Product, Data Science, and Analytics to turn complex data into impactful product featuresRaise the engineering bar through code reviews, design discussions, and technical mentorshipRequirements: 5+ years of backend engineering experience in high scale systems2+ years working on NodeJS backend systems with TypeScript or JavaScriptExcellent proficiency in Cloud Computing environments (AWS or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)Familiarity with mobile app development (iOS/Android) in one or more of the following: Kotlin, Swift, Objective C, JavaSolid engineering fundamentals: system design, data structures, APIs, testing, and observabilityHands-on experience with data-intensive systems and complex data pipelinesBSc in Computer Science or equivalent practical experienceOptional: Data engineering experience with Apache Spark is a big plusThis position is open to all candidates.
