Job Description and Responsibilities
Were looking for an electro-optics engineer who will play a pivotal role in the optical design team. As an electro optic engineer, you will be responsible for the optical design of photonic solutions,
defining fabrication tolerances and overseeing optical R&D activities.
Your job includes, but not is limited to:
- Optical design of packaging solutions
- Data analysis of fabricated optics. It will be your responsibility to point out fabrication challenges and verify that outputs meet the defined requirements.
- Yield prediction and defining optical and mechanical tolerances.
- Plan, supervise and extract conclusions from R&D lab experiments.
- Interact with different departments and define targets of the optical R&D process.
- Interact with vendors and service providers.
Qualifications
1.
A bachelors or masters degree in physics: Electro-optics / Applied Physics - a must.
- Deep understanding of lenses and optical systems in terms of geometric optics and physical optics- a must.
- A self- starter: ability to perform physical optical simulations with self-built tools and acquire new skills independently -a must.
- Scripting and simulation capabilities in Python or MATLAB- a must. You will be required to acquire a command of Python.
- High analytical and troubleshooting capabilities- a must.

Experience with optical simulations- a must.
Experience with Zemax and/or Lumerical software- an advantage.
- High mathematical skills- a must. Image processing skills- an advantage.
- Lab experience- an advantage.
- Team player- a must
