Tondo Smart is a publicly traded Israeli technology company developing smart infrastructure and public-space solutions that combine software, hardware, IoT, embedded systems, sensors, communications, and AI.

Our technology is used for infrastructure monitoring, anomaly detection, electricity and cable theft detection, operational intelligence, and drone and threat detection.

We’re looking for a hands-on, experienced Python Engineer with a strong background in Embedded Linux, hardware-software integration, and applied Machine Learning.

The role is part of the activity of our U.S. subsidiary and includes ongoing work in English with teams, vendors, and partners abroad.

This is a full-time, on-site position at our offices in Or Yehuda, Israel. The role includes approximately two evening meetings per week with U.S.-based teams and partners.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain production-grade Python solutions.
• Work with Embedded Linux, IoT, edge devices, sensors, and hardware.
• Integrate software, hardware, APIs, and external systems.
• Implement and integrate Machine Learning solutions using PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar frameworks.
• Troubleshoot and solve integration issues across hardware and software environments.

Requirements

• 6 years of professional experience in software development or engineering roles.
• 3 years of hands-on Python development experience in production environments.
• Strong experience with Embedded Linux.
• Proven experience with hardware-software integration.
• Hands-on experience implementing Machine Learning solutions using PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with APIs, debugging, Git, and system integration.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI/ML on edge or embedded devices.
• Experience with Computer Vision, Object Detection, or sensor data.
• Experience with networking and communication protocols.
