Senior Developer (Node. js)

we are looking for a Senior Developer (Node. js).You will join a high-impact AI engineering team within R&D, owning problems end-to-end from understanding the business need, through architecture and implementation, to production monitoring.

This is a new way of working : you'll work directly with business stakeholders, ship AI-driven capabilities at speed, and help define the methodology as we build it.As a member of the AI Foundations organization, you will lead best practices, champion early adoption of new technologies, and influence the direction of our R&D guild - building and shipping cutting-edge agentic applications that deliver seamless experiences to our users.What you'll do:Own the full development loop understand the business problem, define the solution, architect it, build it, ship it, and monitor it in productionUse AI as your primary development tool, achieving in a day what used to take a team a weekCollaborate with your team and business stakeholders to define decision logic, risk thresholds, and success metricsDesign and build evaluation frameworks as part of every solution you don't ship what you can't measureOwn production readiness monitoring, alerting, and observability go in on day oneContribute to shaping team practices, tooling, and engineering standards across the podDecompose business problems into agentic workflows, orchestrated flows, and reusable capabilities.Requirements: 5 years of software engineering experience, building and operating production systemsStrong hands-on Node.js TypeScript experience, building backend services (preferably NestJS)Strong fundamentals: REST APIs, async patterns, debugging, and performance considerationsExperience working with data sources (SQL and NoSQL)Experience with distributed systems: caching (Redis), queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ), containers/K8sStrong knowledge of CI/CD, feature flags, and environment separation (dev/test/prod)Genuine fluency with AI-powered development tools you use them daily to move fasterStrong evaluation instincts you define metrics, build test sets, and validate before shippingComfortable across the full stack you move between backend services, data pipelines, and infrastructure as neededHigh degree of independence you lead work from problem definition to production without waiting for detailed specsExcellent communication you flag risks early, give direct feedback, and collaborate openlyStrong learning ability fast to pick up new domains, tools, and patterns, and comfortable working in ambiguityNice to have:Hands-on experience with AI/ML systems in production shipping, monitoring, and iterating, not just prototypingExperience designing agentic architectures: orchestration, multi-step workflows, RAG pipelines, fallback and error handlingLLM/agent experience (OpenAI/Azure OpenAI, LangChain/LangGraph, function/tool calling)Observability tools (Langfuse, OpenTelemetry, Grafana/Datadog, etc.)Fintech or regulated-environment experienceThis position is open to all candidates.
