Senior Software Engineer - Edge

As a Software Developer on the team, you will design and build software components that operate close to the hardware and real-time systems powering autonomous drones. You will work across embedded edge environments, communication systems, AI pipelines, mission logic and operational tooling.This is a hands-on engineering role with strong impact on product architecture, system capabilities and future platform evolutionResponsibilitiesDesign and develop edge applications running on autonomous drone platforms and edge computing devicesBuild reliable, scalable, and high-performance software for real-time operational environmentsDevelop integrations between onboard systems, AI modules, sensors, and mission-control platformsOptimize software for constrained compute, network, and power environmentsCollaborate closely with autonomy, embedded, AI, DevOps, and product teamsParticipate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making for the new platformDebug and resolve complex system-level and distributed operational issuesContribute to software quality through testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and engineering best practicesRequirements: B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent military/industry experience5 years of software development experienceStrong proficiency in Python or C Experience building distributed systemsFamiliarity with Linux-based environmentsExperience with networking, asynchronous systems, or real-time applicationsStrong problem-solving and debugging skillsAbility to work independently in a fast-paced R&D environmentThis position is open to all candidates.
