We are looking for an adaptable, tech-agnostic Software Engineer to join our R&D team in Jerusalem and help us shape the future of Silicon Photonics.

What you will do:

• Design & Develop: Build sophisticated software systems for laboratory automation, data management, and scientific computing.
• Integrate & Optimize: Connect software with hardware systems, scientific instrumentation, and research equipment, optimizing performance and algorithms.
• Create GUIs: Build intuitive and efficient graphical user interfaces.
• CI/CD & DevOps: Establish CI/CD pipelines to deliver production-level software.
• Collaborate: Work closely with cross-functional research and engineering teams, participate in code reviews, and write technical documentation.

Requirements:

• Experience: 2–5 years of hands-on software development experience.
• Hardware Integration: Proven experience working on hardware systems and embedded/instrumentation interfaces.
• Education: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Tech Stack: Advanced Python programming skills with strong software design and architecture capabilities.
• Mindset: A language-agnostic problem solver, self-starter, and fast independent learner with an impressive/interesting track record who thrives in a dynamic startup culture.
• Communication: Fluent English (written and verbal).

Advantages (Preferred):

• Deep affinity, background, or interest in Physics and Optics.
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud computing/distributed systems.
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools.

Location: Jerusalem (Full-time)
