Technical Data Analyst - Temporary Position

What will your job look like:Work closely with developers, product managers, and REM stakeholders to define analysis strategies and support data-driven decision-making.Develop a deep understanding of REM's large-scale mapping ecosystem, including map creation, validation, and update pipelines.Build analytical models to estimate map creation timelines, operational costs, and scalability across regions and map products.Analyze map freshness, update latency, coverage gaps, and map quality to identify opportunities for improvement.Analyze the impact of fleet size, geographic distribution, and driving patterns on map quality, coverage, and update velocity.Build scripts, automate analysis workflows, and leverage AI-assisted tools to improve productivity and analytical effectiveness.Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.2+ years of experience using Python for data manipulation, analysis, automation, and tool development.Strong understanding of complex systems and the ability to analyze interactions across multiple engineering components.Experience creating scripts and automating analytical workflows.Experience effectively using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and Cursor.Strong problem-solving skills, broad vision, and a systematic approach to investigation and root-cause analysis.Experience querying and analyzing data using SQL and working with databases.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience collaborating across multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.This position is open to all candidates.
