Technical Product Manager

Were looking for a highly technical Product Manager to lead our Runtime Internals product group.This role sits at the intersection of deep systems engineering, developer experience, and product strategy. Youll work on technology that operates deep inside production environments, partnering closely with engineers working on runtimes, operating systems, instrumentation, performance, and low-level system behavior.You dont need to be writing production code every day, but you do need to be technical enough to go deep with engineers, understand complex architectural tradeoffs, and turn them into product decisions that create meaningful value for developers and engineering organizations.Youll own the product direction end-to-end - from identifying the right technical problems to solve, through prioritization and execution, to understanding how the capabilities we build translate into customer and business value.Requirements: 6 years of Product Management experience, preferably working on highly technical productsAt least 3 years of hands-on software development experience.Strong technical background and the ability to work effectively with senior engineers on complex system-level problemsExperience with developer-facing products, infrastructure, observability, security, cloud platforms, or other deep-tech productsStrong understanding of software architecture and modern production environmentsAbility to understand complex technical systems and quickly develop depth in unfamiliar technical areasExcellent product judgment and ability to distinguish interesting technology from technology that creates meaningful customer valueStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to translate between engineering depth, developer needs, and business impactComfortable operating with ambiguity and owning problems end-to-endExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsDegree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical fieldPrevious hands-on experience as a Software Engineer, Researcher, or in another highly technical roleUnderstanding of operating systems, runtimes, compilers, memory management, concurrency, or low-level programmingExperience with languages such as C, C , Rust, Go, Java, or PythonFamiliarity with Linux internals, containers, Kubernetes, eBPF, OpenTelemetry, or distributed systemsExperience building products for developers, Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or engineering leadership personasExperience taking a deeply technical product or capability from 0→1Experience working in an early-stage startup or similarly fast-moving environmentDefine and own the product strategy and roadmap for Runtime InternalsDevelop a deep understanding of our runtime technology, architecture, and technical constraintsWork closely with highly technical Engineering and Research teams on complex, low-level product challengesTranslate customer and developer pain points into clear technical product requirementsMake product decisions involving tradeoffs between performance, reliability, compatibility, coverage, usability, and time-to-marketIdentify opportunities to expand the capabilities and value of our runtime technologyOwn features and capabilities from problem discovery through design, development, launch, and iterationWork directly with customers and engineering teams to understand production environments, workflows, and technical challengesDefine product success metrics and use product data, customer feedback, and experimentation to continuously improve the productPartner closely with Field, Sales, and GTM teams to translate deeply technical capabilities into clear customer valueStay close to developments across runtimes, observability, developer tooling, cloud-native infrastructure, and AI-driven software development.This position is open to all candidates.
