VP Engineering, Platform

Were looking for an experienced and strategic VP Engineering to lead and scale our Platform group - a core part of our companys product and engineering organization. This group is responsible for building and maintaining the core technologies that power our flagship products and drive business growth.Youll report to the VP R&D and work closely with Product leadership to align on vision, execution, and long-term planning. Youll manage a large, growing group of engineers and leaders, and play a key role in shaping the engineering culture, processes, and infrastructure as we scale.What Youll Do:Lead the Platform group end-to-end, owning its vision, execution, and growthDrive scale, performance, and technical excellence across all core systemsCollaborate cross-functionally with Product, R&D, and Business stakeholders to define priorities and deliver impactMentor and develop strong leaders across the engineering organizationEnsure the platform is ready to support innovations, while keeping high standards of stability and reliabilityFoster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.Requirements: 10 years of experience in Software Engineering, with 5 years in VP-level leadership rolesProven track record leading large-scale engineering organizations ( 100), including managers of managersStrong experience in product-based SaaS companies - ideally with video or media technologiesDeep understanding of scalable infrastructure, distributed systems, and cloud environmentsHands-on experience deploying and maintaining 24/7 production systems with high reliabilityExcellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, especially under pressureOutstanding communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teamsA true team player with a collaborative mindsetWillingness to dive into details when needed, and stay closely connected to the day-to-day work of the teams.This position is open to all candidates.
