Translate designs and product requirements into smooth, responsive UI following Material Design.
Integrate REST APIs and handle data with Retrofit/OkHttp, JSON parsing and local storage (Room).
Handle real-world scale and edge cases loading states, errors, offline behaviour, and the high-traffic moments when a big event or ticket drop goes live.
Debug, profile and fix issues; keep the app fast, stable and crash-free.
Take part in code reviews, both giving and receiving feedback.
Work closely with product, design and backend to scope and deliver features end to end.
Chip away at tech debt and push for clean architecture and best practices.
Stay current with Android updates, tools and patterns, and bring good ideas back to the team.
Ideal Candidate :
Strong early-career Android Developer Profile with hands-on Kotlin/Java and Android SDK experience.
Mandatory (Experience 1) : Must have 0 to 2 years of experience building Android apps, with at least 6 months of hands-on experience (internship experience counts for freshers).
Mandatory (Experience 2) : Must have built two or more apps; anything live on the Play Store.
Mandatory (skill 1) : Must have a solid grip on Kotlin and/or Java and the Android SDK.
Mandatory (skill 2) : Must be familiar with the usual toolkit Retrofit/OkHttp, RxJava or Coroutines, Gson, Jetpack/Arch components, and Room.
Mandatory (skill 3) : Must be comfortable with an app architecture pattern (MVVM) and Git.
Mandatory (skill 4) : Must have a feel for good vs bad design and common mobile UX patterns.
Mandatory (Company Background) : Must come from a strong B2C product company.
Mandatory (Education) : Must have a B.Tech from a Tier-1 college IITs, NITs, BITS Pilani, IIITs.
