Job Responsibilities :
We are looking for a passionate Android Software Engineer to build and enhance customer-facing Android applications used in production by thousands of users. You will own features end-to-endfrom design and development to testing, deployment, and post-release supportwhile collaborating with Product, Design, Backend, and Engineering teams.
This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working in fast-paced product startups, take ownership of product outcomes, and are passionate about building high-quality mobile experiences.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Own features throughout the complete product lifecyclefrom requirement gathering to production release.
- Integrate REST APIs and collaborate with backend teams to deliver seamless product functionality.
- Improve application performance, stability, crash-free experience, and overall user experience.
- Build scalable, reusable, and maintainable UI components following modern Android architecture.
- Integrate third-party SDKs such as authentication, analytics, payments, and messaging services.
- Write unit tests, participate in code reviews, and maintain high engineering standards.
- Troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and ensure application reliability.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and continuously improve the Android codebase.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools responsibly while maintaining code quality and security.
Required Skills :
- 3+ years of hands-on Android development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin.
- Strong experience with Jetpack Compose.
- Good understanding of MVVM, Android Architecture Components, Coroutines, Flow, and Dependency Injection (Hilt/Dagger).
- Experience consuming RESTful APIs and working with backend services.
- Hands-on experience with Git and modern Android development practices.
- Experience debugging crashes, improving app performance, and optimizing memory usage.
- Knowledge of automated testing (JUnit, Espresso, Compose Testing).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience integrating payment gateways, authentication, analytics, or messaging SDKs.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Play Store release process.
- Exposure to Firebase services.
- Experience working with AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, etc.).
- Understanding of software architecture, scalability, and clean coding principles.
