Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Java and Selenium to develop and maintain scalable automation solutions for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have experience in designing automation frameworks, executing functional and regression testing, participating in Agile development, and ensuring high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Java and Selenium.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios and automation scripts.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and Agile ceremonies.
- Perform code reviews for automation scripts and ensure adherence to coding standards and automation best practices.
- Identify, track, and resolve defects in collaboration with development teams.
- Continuously improve automation coverage, framework stability, and test execution efficiency.
- Prepare test reports, quality metrics, and status updates for stakeholders.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing and process improvements.
Required Technical Skills :
- 5-10 years of experience in Software Testing with a strong focus on Test Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Selenium WebDriver.
- Experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks (Page Object Model, Data-Driven, Hybrid, or BDD).
- Good understanding of software testing methodologies, STLC, and defect management.
- Experience with version control tools such as Git.
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Good understanding of SQL for database validation.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience with API automation tools such as REST Assured or Postman.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of performance testing concepts and tools is an advantage.
- Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
- Basic understanding of software architecture, design principles, and quality engineering practices.
- Knowledge of estimation techniques and project lifecycle activities.
