Role Overview :
As an Automation Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated testing frameworks to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. You will work closely with cross-functional development teams, product managers, and stakeholders to identify testing requirements and integrate automated solutions into the software development lifecycle. Your contribution will directly impact the reliability and performance of mission-critical applications, ensuring that the final output meets rigorous quality standards before reaching the end user.
Key Responsibilities :
- Architect and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Selenium and Python to streamline testing processes for complex web applications.
- Collaborate with developers to integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring continuous feedback and faster release cycles.
- Analyze functional requirements to design comprehensive test plans and test cases that maximize coverage and minimize production defects.
- Conduct root cause analysis on failed test cases and provide actionable insights to the development team to resolve technical bottlenecks.
- Mentor junior team members on best practices in automation scripting and code quality to foster a culture of technical excellence within the QA department.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated expertise in building automation frameworks from scratch using Python and Selenium, with a strong grasp of object-oriented programming principles.
- Proven ability to manage CI/CD workflows, ensuring seamless integration of automated tests within modern DevOps environments.
- Strong analytical skills to translate complex business logic into efficient, maintainable test scripts that improve overall product quality.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively articulate technical challenges and testing progress to stakeholders and non-technical team members.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment in Hyderabad, demonstrating self-motivation and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- A minimum of 6 to 8 years of professional experience in software quality assurance and automation testing.
