Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in OpenText UFT One (formerly Micro Focus UFT/QTP) and Python to design, develop, and execute automated test solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building automation frameworks, executing functional and regression testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

• Analyze business and functional requirements to develop effective test automation strategies.
• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using OpenText UFT One (UFT/QTP).
• Develop and enhance data-driven, keyword-driven, and reusable automation frameworks.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Identify, log, track, and verify software defects using tools such as ALM, JIRA, or Azure DevOps.
• Prepare and maintain test cases, automation scripts, execution reports, and test documentation.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, QA teams, and other stakeholders to ensure software quality.
• Support automation execution within CI/CD pipelines and contribute to continuous testing initiatives.
• Participate in test planning, effort estimation, and quality improvement activities.

Required Skills :

• 6 to 8 years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on test automation.
• Hands-on experience with OpenText UFT One (Unified Functional Testing/QTP).
• Strong programming and scripting skills in Python.
• Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Good understanding of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with defect management tools such as ALM, JIRA, or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills :

• Experience integrating automated test suites with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
