Backend Developer - Java

Role Overview :

As a Backend Developer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining our core microservices architecture. You will collaborate closely with front-end developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-performance, scalable, and resilient solutions. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and stability of our trading platforms, ensuring our clients can execute trades seamlessly and manage risk effectively.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design and develop high-performance, scalable, and resilient microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring WebFlux to support our financial trading platforms.
• Implement and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless communication between front-end and back-end systems, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Optimize database performance using MySQL, writing efficient queries and designing effective data models to handle large volumes of transactional data.
• Deploy and manage applications using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and scalability of our services.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to automate deployment pipelines and improve monitoring and alerting systems, reducing downtime and improving system reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our coding standards and best practices, ensuring code quality and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, working closely with the operations team to minimize impact on our clients.

Required Skillset :

• Demonstrated ability to design and develop robust and scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Proven expertise in working with relational databases, specifically MySQL, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and experience building and consuming APIs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Ability to work on-site in our Mumbai office.
