Backend Developer (Node Js)

• *Key Responsibilities -**
• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Node.js and Express framework • Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices architecture • Implement secure, scalable, and high-performance server-side applications • Develop database models and queries using Sequelize ORM • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, product managers, and QA engineers • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices • Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical architecture decisions • Ensure compliance with banking domain security standards and regulations .

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Core Technologies: Strong proficiency in Node.js and Express.js framework
• JavaScript: Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, including ES6+ features, asynchronous programming, and design patterns • AWS Services: Hands-on experience with AWS backend services including: • EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud)
• EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service)
• SQS (Simple Queue Service)
• SNS (Simple Notification Service)
• Lambda (Serverless Functions)
• Other related AWS services (S3, RDS, CloudWatch, etc.)
• Database & ORM: Strong experience with Sequelize ORM and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Domain Experience:

Prior experience working in the banking or financial services industry • API Development:

Experience building RESTful APIs and understanding of API security best practices

• Version Control: Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of message queuing systems and event-driven architectures
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Understanding of banking domain concepts such as payment processing, transaction management, and regulatory compliance
• Experience with unit testing and test-driven development (Jest, Mocha, Chai)
• Knowledge of security best practices including authentication, authorization, and data encryption
• Exposure to GraphQL or other API technologies
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK Stack)
