About CYURÆCYURÆ is an AI-native fashion intelligence startup building a next-generation platform that combines artificial intelligence, personalization, fashion discovery, styling, visual experiences, and commerce.
We are currently building our core technology team in Gurugram and are looking for a strong Backend Developer with Full-Stack Python experience who enjoys building products from the ground up and taking ownership of architecture, development, deployment, and scalability.
Role OverviewWe are looking for a Python Backend Developer with 3+ years of hands-on experience in developing scalable applications, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and production systems.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across the backend stack and should also have an understanding of frontend integration, AI APIs, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and modern application architecture.
As an early engineering team member, you will work closely with the founders, AI developers, Flutter developers, UI/UX designers, and product team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend applications using Python and FastAPI
- Build secure and high-performance REST APIs and WebSocket services
- Design and optimize relational databases using PostgreSQL
- Work with Redis, Vector Databases, and other modern data stores
- Develop authentication, authorization, user management, and role-based access systems
- Integrate AI/LLM APIs and AI-powered services into the CYURÆ platform
- Work closely with the AI team on recommendation, personalization, image-processing, and fashion-intelligence workflows
- Build backend services for mobile applications developed in Flutter
- Work with frontend technologies when required and support full-stack product development
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment systems, notification services, analytics, and external platforms
- Develop asynchronous and background processing workflows
- Containerize applications using Docker
- Deploy and manage applications on AWS
- Participate in CI/CD pipelines and source-code management using GitLab
- Work with Jira-based sprint planning, issue tracking, and documentation
- Monitor application performance, logs, uptime, and API reliability
- Perform database optimization, caching, query tuning, and performance improvements
- Write clean, maintainable, secure, and production-ready code
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making
- Support testing, debugging, deployment, and production issue resolution
Required Technical Skills
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong experience with Python
- Strong knowledge of FastAPI
- Experience developing production-grade REST APIs
- Strong understanding of PostgreSQL
- Experience with database design, indexing, query optimization, and transactions
- Good knowledge of Redis
- Experience with asynchronous Python and background processing
- Good understanding of authentication including JWT, OAuth2, API security, and RBAC
- Experience with Docker
- Working knowledge of AWS
- Experience with Git-based development workflows
- Good understanding of system design and scalable backend architecture
- Experience integrating third-party APIs
- Understanding of frontend/backend integration
Full-Stack KnowledgeCandidates should have exposure to at least some of the following:
- React / Next.js
- JavaScript / TypeScript
- HTML / CSS
- API integration
- Responsive web applications
- Frontend authentication flows
- Backend-for-frontend architecture
You do not need to be a dedicated frontend developer, but you should be comfortable understanding and supporting the complete application lifecycle.

Location RequirementThis is a
full-time, on-site position in Gurugram.
