About the Role :
We are looking for a highly skilled Java Backend Developer with strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Node.js, and MySQL. The ideal candidate should have experience building scalable, high-performance backend applications and RESTful APIs in a microservices environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices for enterprise applications.
- Build and integrate event-driven applications using Apache Kafka.
- Develop and optimize database solutions using MySQL.
- Collaborate with frontend, QA, DevOps, and Product teams to deliver high-quality software.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and optimize application performance.
- Work in Linux environments for deployment, debugging, and operational support.
- Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code while following coding standards and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and Agile development processes.
- Support CI/CD deployments and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills :
- 5 - 8 years of experience in Java backend development.
- Strong expertise in Core Java, including Multithreading, Synchronization, Collections, JVM, Garbage Collection, and Connection Pooling.
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Spring Boot and REST API development.
- Strong experience with Node.js.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven architectures.
- Strong knowledge of MySQL, query optimization, and database design.
- Good experience working in Linux environments.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience with Git and Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Good to Have :
- Working knowledge of AWS services.
- Basic experience with React.js for frontend debugging and minor enhancements.
- Experience with Python for automation or backend scripting.
- Knowledge of Shell Scripting.
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines is an advantage.
Candidate Expectations :
- Strong Core Java fundamentals are mandatory.
- Proven experience developing production-grade APIs using Spring Boot.
- Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Candidates with strong technical depth and hands-on development expertise will be preferred over those with higher years of experience but limited practical exposure.
