Role : Bluetooth Validation Testing Engineer
Experience : 4-8 Years (Relevant Experience)
Location : Bangalore
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform end-to-end validation and testing of Bluetooth Host and Controller stacks.
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive Bluetooth test cases and test plans.
- Validate Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) features across multiple platforms.
- Test and validate Bluetooth profiles such as :
- A2DP
- HFP
- HID
- PBAP
- AVRCP
- SPP
- GATT
- RFCOMM
- L2CAP
- Execute functional, regression, interoperability, performance, and stress testing.
- Perform protocol analysis using Bluetooth sniffers and debugging tools.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python to improve testing efficiency.
- Analyze failures, identify root causes, and work closely with firmware and software development teams for issue resolution.
- Validate Bluetooth features during both pre-silicon and post-silicon stages of Wireless SoC development.
- Create detailed defect reports and track issues using Jira and Test Case Management Systems.
- Participate in requirement reviews, test planning, and release validation activities.
- Ensure compliance with Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) processes and quality standards.
- Support customer issue reproduction, debugging, and validation activities.
Required Technical Skills :
1.
Bluetooth
Technologies :
- Strong understanding of Bluetooth architecture and protocol stack.
- Hands-on experience with Bluetooth Host Stack (BlueZ or equivalent).
- Experience in Host & Controller level validation.
- Knowledge of Bluetooth Classic and BLE specifications.
- Hands-on experience with Bluetooth profiles :
- A2DP
- HFP
- HID
- PBAP
- AVRCP
- SPP
- GATT
2. Validation & Testing :
- Strong understanding of STLC and Software Validation methodologies.
- Experience in manual and automation testing.
- Expertise in regression, functional, interoperability, and system testing.
- Experience creating and executing test plans and test cases.
- Root cause analysis and defect debugging.
3. Automation & Scripting :
- Strong Python scripting skills.
- Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of CI/CD-based validation workflows is an added advantage.
