About Us:
At SmithMaven Technologies Private Limited (Bridgehorn), we build data and software products that help our clients make better decisions. We are a lean, fast-moving team where engineers own products end to end rather than a single slice of the stack. We are looking for a versatile Full Stack Developer who is tech-savvy, enjoys picking up new technologies, and wants real ownership of what they build.
Job Summary:
As a Full Stack Developer, you will design, build, and ship complete features front end, back end, and the infrastructure they run on. Because we are not a large company, this is deliberately not a narrow, one-dimensional role. You will move across the stack, work directly with the people who make decisions, and take a product from idea to production. If you like breadth, autonomy, and continuously learning new tools, you will do well here.
What You'll Do:
- Build end to end: Own features across the full stack user-facing interfaces in React/Next.js, back-end services and APIs in Node.js and/or Python (FastAPI, Django, Express), and the data models behind them.
- Take real ownership: Carry a product or feature from requirements through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and iteration not just one hand-off in the middle.
- Ship and operate: Containerize and deploy what you build using Docker and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or similar); help keep it reliable in production.
- Design pragmatic solutions: Model data, design clean APIs, and make sensible architecture calls for the problem in front of you.
- Pick up new technologies: Move fluidly between languages, frameworks, and cloud services as projects demand we value adaptability over deep specialization in a single tool.
- Collaborate closely: Work directly with clients, data engineers, and decision-makers to understand needs and deliver working software quickly.
- Document your work: Keep code, APIs, and workflows documented so the team can build on what you ship.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: 2 to 7 years building and shipping web applications across the stack.
- Front end: Strong with JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern framework React (Next.js a plus). Solid HTML/CSS fundamentals.
- Back end: Hands-on with Node.js and/or Python; comfortable designing and consuming REST (or GraphQL) APIs.
- Databases: Working knowledge of SQL and relational data modeling; exposure to NoSQL is a plus.
- Cloud & DevOps: Familiarity with a major cloud platform (Azure preferred), containers (Docker), version control (Git), and CI/CD deployment workflows.
- Versatility: Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and work across unfamiliar parts of a stack.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written communication; able to work directly with clients and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ownership mindset: Self-directed, comfortable with ambiguity, and driven to see things through to production.
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to data/BI work feeding dashboards (Power BI/Tableau) or integrating with warehouses like Snowflake or Databricks.
- Experience with Azure services (App Service, Functions, Storage) and infrastructure-as-code.
- Testing discipline (unit/integration) and an eye for code quality.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary and performance bonuses.
- Broad exposure across multiple technologies and full product ownership from day one.
- Opportunities for professional development and certifications.
- Collaborative, innovation-focused environment.
- Direct access to decision makers in the industry.
