CGI - Senior Java Developer - Spring Boot/Hibernate

Role Overview :

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be at the forefront of designing and building high-performance, scalable enterprise applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, product owners, and fellow engineers, to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions. Your daily contributions will involve developing microservices, optimizing data persistence layers, and ensuring seamless integration across distributed systems, directly impacting the efficiency and reliability of platforms used by our global client base.

Key Responsibilities :

• Architect and implement scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot to support high-traffic enterprise applications.
• Design and maintain efficient data models using PostgreSQL and MongoDB to ensure optimal performance and data integrity.
• Develop and expose secure RESTful web services and GraphQL APIs to facilitate seamless communication between front-end and back-end systems.
• Integrate event-driven architectures using Kafka to enable real-time data processing and system decoupling.
• Optimize database interactions by implementing efficient JPA and Hibernate mappings to improve application throughput.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to troubleshoot complex production issues and implement long-term technical improvements.
• Mentor junior team members through code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions to foster a culture of technical excellence.

Required Skillset :

• Demonstrated proficiency in building complex Java-based applications with 4 to 6 years of professional experience.
• Strong command over Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and RESTful API design principles.
• Hands-on experience with modern database technologies including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and ORM frameworks like Hibernate and JPA.
• Proven ability to implement event-driven patterns using Kafka and query data efficiently using GraphQL.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, hybrid work environment across our Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, or Pune offices.
