About the Role :
We are looking for a highly skilled Java AWS Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java backend development, Microservices architecture, Spring Boot, and cloud technologies, with hands-on experience in AWS. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable, high-performance applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust enterprise solutions.
The role offers an opportunity to work on modern cloud-native applications, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems while following Agile development practices and software engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities :
1.
Backend Development :
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build high-performance, secure, and reusable microservices-based applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following coding standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
2.
Microservices Development :
- Develop and implement Microservices architecture for enterprise applications.
- Build modular, loosely coupled services that are scalable and maintainable.
- Integrate multiple services using RESTful APIs and messaging systems.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance of backend services.
3.
Cloud
Development (AWS) :
- Develop and deploy applications on AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Work with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway, ECS, and CloudWatch.
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams for cloud deployment and infrastructure management.
4.
REST API Development :
- Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs.
- Ensure secure API implementation using authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Perform API testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with frontend developers and third-party systems for seamless integrations.
5. CI/CD & Containerization :
- Support application deployment using CI/CD pipelines.
- Work with Docker containers for application packaging and deployment.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate build and deployment processes.
- Participate in release management and production deployments.
6.
Agile Collaboration :
- Participate in Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, and Architects.
- Participate in peer code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
7. Quality & Performance :
- Write unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality.
- Perform debugging, root cause analysis, and performance tuning.
- Follow secure coding practices and software engineering standards.
- Maintain technical documentation for developed applications.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6-10 years of hands-on experience in Java Backend Development.
- Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services.
- Experience in developing and integrating REST APIs.
- Basic understanding of Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Good to Have :
- Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git/GitHub, Maven/Gradle, Kafka or RabbitMQ, Terraform, SonarQube, JUnit & Mockito, NoSQL Databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
