Research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system and infrastructure issues
Analyze application logs, manage log backups, and perform routine system maintenance
Configure and troubleshoot load balancers (experience with Nginx is a strong plus)
Perform networking troubleshooting including routing, connectivity, VPN, and firewall issues
Escalate unresolved or complex issues to appropriate internal teams such as software developers
Document technical knowledge, procedures, and solutions in the form of notes and manuals
Perform detailed troubleshooting and conduct full root cause analysis (RCA) to identify underlying issues and prevent recurrence
Ensure system stability, uptime, and performance across environments

Required Skills & Experience

6 to 8 years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer or System Engineer
Strong proficiency in Python, including Python testing best practices
Experience working in and promoting Agile development environments
Extensive hands-on experience with AWS cloud services including EC2, ECS, EKS, ECR, Route 53, SES, ElastiCache, RDS, Redshift, and CloudFormation
Strong experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins
Strong experience with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Travis, Drone, Mule, and Spinnaker
Strong understanding of networking and security concepts including DNS, TCPDump, CDNs, SSL/TLS, Git, firewalls, VPCs, subnetting, and VPNs
Experience deploying and supporting microservices-based architectures
Experience working on high-traffic, international-scale systems
Familiarity with software security best practices
Experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability tools including PagerDuty, AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, Sentry, Prometheus, and Icinga
