Role Overview :
We are looking for a Hands-on Engineering Manager who can lead by example. This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys writing production-quality code while mentoring engineers and driving technical execution.
You will work closely with the founders to define the engineering roadmap, shape product architecture, build scalable systems, and help grow a high-performing engineering team.
This is not a people-management-only role. We expect you to remain actively involved in software development, architecture, code reviews, and solving complex technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers while fostering a strong engineering culture.
- Contribute hands-on to the codebase across both frontend and backend development.
- Design scalable, secure, and maintainable software architecture.
- Drive technical decisions and establish engineering best practices.
- Own features end-to-endfrom design and implementation to deployment and monitoring.
- Collaborate with Product, AI, and Design teams to deliver high-impact solutions.
- Review code, ensure engineering quality, and mentor developers through technical guidance.
- Improve engineering processes, deployment pipelines, and system reliability.
- Help scale the engineering organization by participating in hiring and technical interviews.
Must-Have Skills :
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering with strong Full Stack development expertise.
- 2+ years of technical leadership or Engineering Manager experience.
- Strong expertise in React (Hooks, Component Architecture, State Management).
- Strong backend development experience using Python (FastAPI or Flask).
- Experience designing and building scalable REST APIs and distributed systems.
- Strong experience with AWS Cloud and modern deployment practices.
- Excellent understanding of software architecture and system design.
- Experience leading code reviews, mentoring engineers, and driving technical excellence.
- Ability to independently own projects from concept to production.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving priorities.
