As an Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing our engineering department to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software products.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in engineering, release management, and hands-on experience with our tech stack, including Java, Spring Boot, Redis Cache, Postgres DB, microservice architecture, and Kubernetes.

This position requires someone who thrives in a startup ecosystem and is passionate about driving innovation without any legacy baggage.

Experience Range : 7 - 13 years

Educational Qualifications : B. Tech/B. E, and M. Tech

Job Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage the engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and productivity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and design, to define and prioritize product requirements and project timelines.
• Oversee the development and implementation of software projects, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes.
• Utilize your expertise in release management to ensure smooth and timely software deployments, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners as necessary.
• Drive the adoption of agile methodologies, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices to optimize the software development lifecycle.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to leverage new tools or frameworks to enhance our tech stack.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
• Participate in the recruitment and onboarding process of new engineering team members, ensuring the right talent is hired and integrated effectively.
• Monitor and manage resource allocation, and project timelines to ensure successful project delivery within schedule constraints.

Candidate Attributes :

Technical Skills and Experience :

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven work experience as an Engineering Manager, with a minimum of 7-12 years in software development.
• Strong hands-on experience with our tech stack, including Java Spring Boot, Redis Cache, Postgres DB, microservice architecture, and Kubernetes.
• Demonstrated experience in release management, ensuring successful software deployments and coordinating with stakeholders.
• Previous experience in a startup environment is highly desirable, with a track record of driving innovation and managing projects from conception to completion.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset.
• Experience with agile methodologies, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices.
• Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure and deployment models, such as AWS is a plus.
