Role Overview :
As a Senior Python Developer with an architectural mindset at FourthPointer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying robust and scalable backend systems. This role involves leading technical initiatives, collaborating closely with cross-functional product and engineering teams, and engaging directly with clients to translate intricate business requirements into elegant technical solutions. Your contributions will directly impact the performance, reliability, and innovation of our core platforms, shaping the future of our client's digital products and services.
Key Responsibilities :
- Architect and develop high-performance, scalable Python-based applications and microservices using frameworks like Django and FastAPI for enterprise clients.
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of complex software features, from conceptual design to deployment and post-launch optimization.
- Design and manage containerized applications with Docker, orchestrating deployments on Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) through robust CI/CD pipelines.
- Optimize data models and interactions for NoSQL databases, specifically MongoDB, ensuring data integrity and efficient retrieval for critical applications.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers, fostering best practices in coding, testing, and system design to elevate team capabilities.
- Collaborate effectively with product managers, UI/UX designers, and other stakeholders to define technical specifications and deliver impactful solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement in code quality, system performance, and security standards across all development cycles.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated experience of 6-10 years in Python development, with a significant track record in designing and architecting scalable backend systems.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python, including extensive experience with web frameworks such as Django and FastAPI.
- Deep understanding and practical experience with microservices architecture, API design, and RESTful principles.
- Strong command over containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms, particularly Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).
- Proven ability to implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment processes.
- Extensive hands-on experience with NoSQL databases, including advanced schema design, query optimization, and administration of MongoDB.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills, capable of tackling complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, adept at leading technical discussions, presenting solutions, and collaborating within a fast-paced team environment.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field from a reputable institution.
